Autumn is my very favorite time of year, I love the cool temps, and the blaze of color.
Bowls of chili, stew, or soup, comfort food. I like everything about it except it just doesnt
last long enough.  All the holidays are right around the corner, Halloween,Thanksgiving, and
Christmas. I love to decorate my home with seasonal accents, and the smells of candles.
What about you?

I am ready for a walk to enjoy the smells and colors and hear the crackling of the leaves as I walk

Fresh Apple Cake

2 cups Sugar
1 cup Oil
2 eggs
Mix together
Add 2 1/2 cups self rising Flour
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 teapsoon vanilla
4 sm apples peeled and diced
1 cup nuts
Batter will be thick
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour in an 13 X 9 pan
If you like garnish the top before baking with extra
cinnamon and it will form a nice crust.

My mom has been baking this since I was just a kid,
the recipe is so old she doesnt even know who it came from.

It makes an excellant dessert or coffee cake.
Enjoy Grin
